Just in case anyone missed it, the LJ PTBs are reinstating the deleted/suspended fandom journals, so it looks like this whole thing is going to be over soon. That there's the good news. But sadly, things don't always go smooth for us, and I want to keep our community safe, should the LJ people try something like this again.
We're going to continue locking Tamcest posts. As I said before, nothing is banned, and I don't plan on anything EVER being banned here. This community is a home to ALL kinds of Firefly/Serenity fic, and I intend to keep it that way, come hell or high water. But at the same time, I don't want anyone to have an excuse to come after this comm and destroy five years worth of our hard work! So we'll just keep the 'cesty posts locked, and hopefully they'll continue to let us have our little corner of the LJ sandbox for a long time to come.
Should the worst ever happen, though, I (with the help of a fabulous person who shall remain nameless, but you totally know who you are hon, and you ROCK!) have an archive of the entire comm. I'll try and update it with the current posts every so often, so it remains up to date. And hopefully, should we ever have need of it, we'll be able to bring everything back without too much trouble.
Of course, here's hoping we never have to use it.
And a quick note, I said before that new, unlocked Tamcest would be deleted. I will change that rule to say that I'll first leave a request/warning which asks the author to lock the post, and only if that is ignored will I move on to the next step (i.e. deletion). Now that things aren't so dire, I feel this is more fair to everyone.
Hopefully now this mess will finally end and you guys won't be stuck with so many annoying admin messages from me! ;-)
