Summary: The Academy tries to teach River to fight. What she learns is to fight back. The time from River's acceptance letter to the end of Session 416, told from both River's perspective and the Academy's.

Unfortunately, the person who nominated you didn't fill in the categories blank for where to nominate you, so I thought I'd ask what ones you thought appropriate? Oh and also, would you like to be on the mailing list for updates, where you only get updates on news happenings with the site, not spam? * Angst Fic; Must gut-wrenching as its main feature.
* Canon Couple Fic; Must be based on a couple seen in the show or “canon”.
* Characterization Fic; Must be centered around the characterization of a character.
* Child Fic; Must be about children of ____ character(s).
* Crossover Fic; Must be crossed over with something else, another tv, movie, book, etc.
* Episodic Fic; Must be centered around a episode.
* Femslash Fic; Must be centered around a female same sex couple. (can but does not have to include sex)
* Funny Fic; Must be comical as its main feature.
* Het Fic; Must be based around a heterosexual couple (canon or non-canon). Can but does not have to have sex.

* Kink Fic; Must be more than smutty, more like NC-17 rated, not R rated.
* Overall Fic; Must be about the show.
* Post-Series Fic; Must be set after the show ended. Basically, a future fic/sequel to whatever.
* Pre-Series Fic; Must be set before the show started. Basically, a prequel.
* Romantic Fic; Must be romantic as its main feature.
* Series Fic; Must be part of a multi chapter series.
* Slash Fic; Must be centered around a male same sex couple. (can but does not have to include sex)
* Threesome Fic; Must be based on 3 people who are connected together, it can be romantically, sexually, or just by friendship.
* Time-Travel Fic; Must be a time-travel fic.
* Unconventional Couple Fic; Must be based on a couple we haven’t seen together on the show or “non-canon”.
* WIP; Stories that are still being written. The only exception is that they must be regularly updated. Don’t nominate a story that hasn’t been updated in over three months.
* Wedding Fic; Must have a wedding as its main feature.

Well, it should definitely go into Pre-Series Fic. Characterization fits as well, I think. I guess that's it, unless you think "angst" fits, too.
