As I just said in an above comment to bookaddict43, locking down just certain fics is a lot more complicated than locking down everything. After all the old fics are dealt with, I can set it up so that it just defaults to locked in the future, which means I don't have to worry about it. But if only certain fics are to be locked, I have to figure out some kind of monitoring system to see that everyone locks when they're supposed to.
