The beds on Serenity are relatively small. They'll suit for two in one bed, at a pinch, but pinch is really the operative word when three not-exactly-skinny men are trying to share a bed.
"We could, of course, sleep separately," Simon suggests, grumpily, from somewhere in the middle. Jayne's arm tightens with a rough squeeze around him, and he snuggles closer, reminding himself that he really does love these two and can handle it.

"I vote next time we're on Persephone, we get a hotel room. With a big bed. Just for the novelty value."
"Whatever you want, doc. Just... stop wriggling. Sleep."
