The dining room is quiet, or what passes for quiet on a working spaceship. An almost subliminal thrumming hovers up from the back of the ship, where the engine cycles and turns, propelling them through the darkness toward the backwater moon they tell him is his home world.

Author's Notes:1. This is an Alternate Universe fic, it follows Firefly canon for the most part (At least everything that's shown onscreen I am ignoring certain things Joss has said though) but I'm playing fast and loose with the BSG's canon
2. This is the last Chapter of this first part of the story.  I am taking a hiatus to work out exactly how I want to plot the next few pieces of the story plus work on a few projects for other fandom. I am not done with this Verse or these characters by any stretch but there  just not going to  be my top priority.
