Commenting late, because I read this a bit ago and didn't have time to comment...I love it. Probably one of my favorite firefly fics I have read so far. River so often tends to get overdone, same with the rest of the cast. But you've really captured them, and I can see everything vividly as I'm reading it. Truly lovely, and thank you for writing it.
