I just caught up on the entire novel last night(until 1 AM. Almost missed my class in the morning!), and I must say, I'm completely hooked. Your characters are so true to the show and you write them so brilliantly. Plus, I'm now obsessed with the idea of Mal and Wash being friends before the show. I can't wait for the next chapter! :)
