I know absolutely nothing about Spike and Xander--never watched Buffy or Angel, but I really enjoyed this story and hope your muse returns so that you can write more of it.

My only concrit is that Kaylee sounded a little off. Not sure I can pinpoint why--it's just the way she struck me. *shrugs*
