Zoe is tough. Zoe is strong, a survivor.

Zoe’s seen death. Seen friends drop dead in front of her, beside her, and kept on fighting because it was what she had to do.

Zoe’s a soldier. She knows her place, she knows her mission.

Zoe is broken. She’s empty now, no longer a soldier, no longer tough and strong.

Zoe is a grieving widow. She cries in the dark, in a cold lonely bed.

Zoe forgets she has Serenity and family. True, they ain’t Wash, but they can make her almost whole, make her strong again.

Make her Zoe again.
